I always knew I’d see the world, but falsely assumed it couldn’t be done until much later in life — cruising on early bird specials and senior discount entrances to the Vatican. I grew up in a very normal household filled with family dinners, good grades and lots of friends. I coasted (well, speed-walked) on the American treadmill ride through college as the executive editor of the student newspaper and finished school a year early, jumping right into my first job at a local newspaper at the ripe age of 20. Yes, folks…all before the big 2-1.
